Not a measurement instrument — an educational platform. Shows constellations visible from Nepal, planetary motion, and Nepali astronomical traditions.
Mobile astronomy for schools without dark skies
A portable inflatable planetarium brings the night sky indoors: a 5–6 m dome, a digital projection system, and battery power, packed into something two people can carry into a school anywhere in Nepal. Inside, students see constellations as they appear from their own latitude, watch planetary motion, and learn the sky through original Nepali-language programmes.
This is not a measurement instrument — it is an educational platform, and the centrepiece of HICS's School Science Residency. It is designed to travel to the schools least likely to have a science lab or an unpolluted view of the stars.
